Hosting
For a variety of reasons, it is sometimes not necessary or practical to have all services on-site. Perhaps you don't want a dedicated server because space is limited, bandwidth is a concern, or your application has light resource demands.
Whatever the reason, we can host services for you. Since much of our consulting work focuses on security and a whatever-the-customer wants attitude, our hosting philosophy is guided by the same values.
If you search around the web, you can certainly find cheap, no-frills hosting packages from other companies. When you sign up for their hosting, though, you get little more than a login name and a password for their panel software.
We do not use panel software, for several reasons. Here, in no particular order, are some of them:
- Customers don't use most of the features it provides.
- It locks you (and us) into doing things in a certain way.
- It adds another layer of software that must be maintained.
- It is potentially susceptible to security problems.
- It is expensive, often has a yearly subscription cost, and is not worth the money to us.
Our hosting model is more along the lines of "do whatever you want". In other words, ask for something and we'll do it for you or enable you to do it yourself, as long as it isn't a security risk and doesn't affect other customers.
Of course, you're free to have outside developers work on your projects. For example, if you already have a "web guy" or a "database guy", we can provide whatever he needs to get the work done.
In keeping with our "anything goes" method, we do not restrict or meter bandwidth, CPU usage, or disk space. As long as you don't interfere with anyone else, you're free to use the resources that you need.

VPS Hosting
For particularly large applications, or if you have many users/services, we suggest a Virtual Private Server (VPS). If you get a VPS, it can be either managed or unmanaged.
Managed virtual private servers are maintained, patched, upgraded, backed up, etc., by Digirati. With an unmanaged VPS, you are free to do whatever you want, or have someone else manage it, as long as you do not affect our other customers.
Our VPS hosting is built on the industry-standard Xen hypervisor. In addition to offering Xen as a VPS solution, we use it for our own services as well.
